Blue girl

I painted this a couple of years ago now.

I spent a few days in Falmouth and it was brisk and breezy on the coast. This girl read a book on the beach and the wind blew her hair. I took pictures and painted this later but trying to keep the blusteriness of the scene fresh.( I bet that the word blusteriness is not proper)

  1. Hi Lisa! This is just awesome. I’m literally welling up with water — ok, so I guess I meant to say I’m teary-eyed because this is like a mix between exact and impression. How the girl seems undefined communicates the story behind the art. With or without the story, though, the it looks evocative!
